Originating from the town of Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh, these weaves created with silk and cotton and feature prominent zaris on their borders and are characterised by the complete lack of any kind of woven designs (buttas etc.) on the body of the saree. The right mix of dyes and weaving patterns results in the fabric with its easy texture, durability, ability to absorb sweat and finesse to drape.

The silk cotton material is breathable and makes these sarees extremely desirable in both a traditional and modern setting.
