The fabric for these sarees are lovingly crafted from the fibres of the banana plantain stem (vazha thandu). These fibres display the sheen of silk, but at the same time are very light weight and durable, and are true example of being the best of both worlds. They appeal to the vegan in you and give you the confidence that no living beings were harmed in the making of the saree.
